Molecular Forensics

The Human DNA Identification Laboratory, which has provided forensic STR DNA-based testing since 1995, continues to be on the forefront of identity testing and offers next-generation sequencing testing for Forensic Investigative Genetic Genealogy (FIGG), ancestry and phenotype analysis. The lab utilizes industry standard methods compliant with ANAB ISO/IEC 17025;2017 and the FBI Quality Assurance Standards to determine person(s) of origin in various biological samples. We also provide testing to resolve pathology samples (misidentification or samples that may contain two individuals) and verify tissue culture cell line identity for basic science researchers.
